Altronics Manufacturing Awarded ESD Certification By Lockheed

Altronics Manufacturing is pleased to announce that it recently received a certification confirming a successful audit of electrostatic discharge system standards, which was conducted independently by Lockheed Martin. This audit confirms that the equipment, processes, and employees of Altronics are all fully compliant with industry ESD standards. Altronics Manufacturing CEO and President Jeff Altschuler said of the audit that “A certification from a company like Lockheed is a strong validation that our ESD program is compliant to the highest standards.” Lockheed Martin is a tier one military and aerospace prime contractor.

The audit was conducted to ESD Association “ANSI/ESD S20.20″ standards, and Compliance Verification of ESD Protective Equipment and Materials “ESD TR52-01-06.” The completion of the audit was part of a series of supplier certifications conducted by Lockheed Martin. “A year ago we received our J-STD-001 Class 1, 2, and 3 Soldering from Lockheed, and this was the next step.” explains Gary Hogan, Altronics Manufacturing and Quality Manager. “I knew we were compliant, so our team had no concerns about having a major league customer like Lockheed come in to see what we are doing” Hogan said. This is not the only recent audit Altronics has undergone. Last August Altronics also received an upgrade of its ISO 9001 certification from 2000 standards, to current 2008 standards. This was part of an audit conducted by networking companies which required very high-reliability products.
